Thank you once again for being part of the Nova Scotia Co-operative Council’s 70th anniversary celebration. The big night is less than a month away and we wanted to share some important event and logistical details with you to ensure you have a spectacular experience.

For guests who have VIP reception lanyards – here’s what you need to know.

The VIP Reception will take place at the Nova Centre from 4:00pm – 5:30 on November 13th in Ballroom B1.

  • Complimentary drinks
  • Food stations
  • Live entertainment
  • Unparalleled networking
  • Remarks from dignitaries, sponsors, and event leadership

You must have your VIP reception lanyard to gain access to the reception. While there are nearly 9,000 people attending the main event – less than 10% have access to the VIP pre-reception. This is an exclusive event with some of the most influential and community-minded leaders from across Canada.

From political leaders to industry titans, this is an extraordinary gathering and we are aiming to craft a world-class experience for you and your guests to enjoy.

Timing: Guests are responsible to allow for enough time to move from the pre-reception to the Scotiabank Centre and through the lines and security process. There is no special access to the centre for VIP reception guests. Guests who miss any element of the event because of timing or lines understand that no refunds or alternative arrangements can be made.

Note: President Obama will not be in attendance at the VIP reception.

For Guests with pre-approved Meet & Greet access and lanyards:  Please meet outside the “Club Lounge” door next the TicketAtlantic box office at the Scotiabank Theatre at 5:30pm – absolute cutoff is 5:40pm (no exceptions and you must pass through the same security lines and process as all other guests attending the event) . You will have special access to a secure area where the Meet & Greet will take place.

In partnership with the Black Business Initiative, the Black Cultural Centre, and the Province of Nova Scotia we are thrilled to announce a pre-event cultural showcase that will take place onstage at the Scotiabank Centre starting at 4:45pm sharp for those who are attending the 70th anniversary celebration featuring President Obama.
